The “Aw Snap” Error in Chrome browser is usually accompanied by an error message reading “Something went wrong while displaying this webpage” or “Google Chrome ran out of memory” and similar messages. Since, this error in Chrome browser can be caused by a variety of issues, any of the following troubleshooting methods might help in fixing the problem on your computer.
1. Reload the Webpage
The first step is to make sure that your computer is connected to internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and reload the webpage by clicking on the Reload icon.

5. Restart Computer

6. Disable Browser Extensions

7. Automatically Detect Settings
An effective solution for network connectivity problems is to enable the option to Automatically detect network settings on your computer. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > select the Proxy tab in the left-pane. In the right-pane, enable Automatically detect settings option.

8. Disable Hardware Acceleration
The Hardware Acceleration feature in Chrome Browser can cause problems on certain computers. Open Chrome Browser > Click on the 3-dots Menu icon > select Settings in the drop-down menu. On the next screen, scroll down and click on Advanced.
In Advanced Settings, scroll down to “System” section and uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available option.
Restart Chrome browser and see if you are able to load the webpage.
9. Run Chrome Safety Check
Open Chrome Browser > Click on the 3-dots Menu icon > select Settings in the drop-down menu.
On the next screen, scroll down to Safety Check section and click on Check Now button.
Allow Google Chrome to complete the Safety Check check and follow the recommendations (if any). Note: You may also want to use the Scan function available in the Antivirus program installed on your computer.
10. Check Computer for Memory Problems
The Aw Snap error on your computer might be related to hardware issues. You can run a Memory Check, to verify the status of your computer. Right-click on the Start button and click on Run > type mdsched.exe in Run Command window and click on OK.
On the pop-up, select Restart Now and Check for Problems option.
