Apple officially supports Apple TV+ on all Apple devices, Roku, Firestick and few Samsung and Sony Smart TV. But you can still get Apple TV+ on other streaming devices like Chromecast, Android TV and other smart TV. I have made a list of all the devices on which you can watch Apple TV+, let’s check those out.

1. Any computer

2. Android Smartphone

There is no Apple TV app for Android, but you can use the web browser. Just like Windows computers, the web interface of Apple TV+ supports mobile web browsers and you can watch Apple TV+ on any Android smartphone. Open the Apple TV+ website and log in with your Apple ID. That’s it, you’d get a web interface optimized for the mobile screen. Enjoy!

3. Chromecast

If you own a Chromecast, you can cast Apple TV+ shows using the Chrome browser on your computer. To get started, simply log into the Apple TV+ website on your Chrome browser on the computer and play a show, right-click anywhere on the video player, click Cast, and select your Chromecast from the list. However, it is not the most elegant solution as you will have to control the playback on your TV using the browser on your computer.

4. Firestick

5. Roku

Firestick and Roku are the only (for now) third-party media streaming players that Apple supports officially. If you own a Roku device or can get your hands on one then you can watch Apple TV+.  Once you have the compatible Roku device, simply press the Home button on Roku remote, scroll to find and open Channel Store. Next, Select Search Channels and look for Apple TV. There you go, log in and enjoy Apple TV+ on Roku.

6. Smart TV

Samsung Smart TV has its own TV OS (Tizen OS) and officially supports Apple TV. I tested the Apple TV app and it works flawlessly. Go to the App Store on the TV and install Apple TV, log in and bask in your favorite shows on Smart TV.

7. Android TV

So far so good, we’ve managed to get Apple TV+ on almost all the platforms except Android TV. Even though Firestick runs a custom Android skin and officially supports the Apple TV app, there is no easy way to get that app on your Android TV such as NVIDIA Shield TV or any other Android TV. However, if we can get a browser to open the Apple TV+ website then we would be able to access Apple TV+ on an Android TV. Start by sideloading Chrome or Firefox to your Android TV,  you can check out this in-depth guide on how to sideload apps on Android TV. Now, you should be able to open the Apple TV+ website on Android TV. If navigation presents an issue, you can connect a USB or Bluetooth mouse or sideload Mouse Toggle app to use the Chrome browser with just the remote. Now, open the Apple TV+ website, log in and enjoy Apple TV+ on your Android TV.

How to Watch Apple TV+ without Apple TV

So, there you go, that’s how you watch apple tv+ without any apple device. There is no official support for Chromecast and gaming consoles as of now, so I’ll recommend you get a cheap streaming stick like Firestick or Roku. The interface is consistent across all the devices I tested it on and rarely faced any issues. The only problem is the lack of official support which hopefully will be resolved in the future. What do you think? Did I miss any devices on which you can run Apple TV on, let me know in the comments below?
