Before the Version 91 update was released every user had to follow a similar process on the setting to make the browser default. However, after the August 10th update, Mozilla has reverse engineered the method of setting the default browser. Without even following the steps on setting the user can change the default browser in one click to Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla spokesperson said, “People should have the ability to simply and easily set defaults, but they don’t”. He further said, “All operating systems should offer official developer support for default status so people can easily set their apps as default. Moreover, the upcoming Windows 11 will make it harder to switch to the default browser. On the other hand, Mozilla has started implementing changes in Firefox. After the lead from Mozilla Firefox, many other web browsers including Vivaldi, Opera and Google are waiting for the response from Microsoft. The company has security-related reasons to protect from malware. The complication in the new Windows 11 makes the rival unhappy as the playing field is getting complicated.
